Reflections

As we transition into 2025 - I reflect on what I achieved & haven't achieved for 2024.
I believe that a new year provides us with a milestone to reflect on what positive & negative - and take the opportunity to learn from what has happened that bring us to the current moment.
Achievements
- For the first time in over a decade, I took solid time for myself - off of work, doing things that make me happy & learn how I can apply that in my personal and professional life.
- Started working on projects I believe in (they don't make any money yet)
Lessons Learned
Taking risks in life doesn't come without lessons learned. This past year I have learned to embrace what's going well in my life, and enjoy the moment. Be proud of how far I've come, and be grateful for what's present.
- Attention is everything
- My phone isn't always my friend
- Always try to be open minded
- Consistency is king
Looking Ahead
The world can be overwhelming at times, but I think it's important to look back at what's happened, what's happening & what can happen in the future. Especially working in technology, things are moving at an exponential pace. Which makes it quite important to be in the present moment & understand what's ahead.
Some predictions:
- The year of smart glasses
- AI blends more into our day to day lives
- The public becomes more aware about quantum computing
- Self driving cars expand to majority regions
